Kind Clever Together

Paediatric OT demonstrating balance on a stepping stone in Birtinya, Sunshine Coast

Play today, skills tomorrow.

A bit about me.

Hi, I’m Emma,

Paediatric OT and founder of Kinleap. I’m passionate about helping children grow, learn, and gain confidence through play, movement, and meaningful moments.

I hold a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) and have experience supporting children with a wide range of developmental needs, including autism, ADHD, genetic conditions, sensory differences, and the list goes on. I’m also currently completing advanced training in Ayres Sensory Integration® to expand my skills in sensory and neurodevelopmental therapy.

When I’m not supporting children, you’ll usually find me baking (still chasing the perfect croissant!), exploring the outdoors or pausing to take photos of flowers along the way. I love finding little moments of joy and curiosity in everyday. To keep my own brain and body regulated, I read, listen to music, and exercise, because even therapists need their own ways to recharge!

My therapy style is playful, thoughtful, and centred around connection. I blend clever clinical reasoning with child-led play to support motor, sensory, emotional, and everyday functional skills. At Kinleap, I work closely with families as a calm collaborator, a creative problem solver, and someone who celebrates every child’s leaps, small and big!

See you soon,

Em

A bit about Kinleap.

Kinleap was born out of a simple but powerful idea: to create a paediatric occupational therapy service that really works for children, families, and clinician’s alike. I wanted a space where I could focus on small caseloads, big impact, and give families the time and attention they need to see real, meaningful progress.

Kinleap is based in Birtinya, on the Sunshine Coast, and provides kind, playful, evidence-based, family-centred paediatric OT. Kinleap’s approach is all about meeting children where they are, celebrating their strengths, and helping them grow their motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, cognitive thinking, and everyday independence, all through play, movement, and fun.

Smaller caseloads gives us time to learn. We are passionate about continued learning because staying curious and up to date means we can bring the best, cleverest ideas to the children and families we work with. Every session is designed to feel fun, meaningful, and personalised, because we believe children learn best when they feel safe, confident, and engaged.

At Kinleap, we work together with families every step of the way. Your insights, questions, and observations help shape therapy that is practical, playful, and truly individualised to your child. We believe in collaboration, not just for results, but for building confidence and independence that lasts beyond our sessions.

Every child’s journey is unique, and every small step forward is worth celebrating. We are here to create a space where children feel curious, empowered, and ready to take their next leap. It’s life changing fun!
